British Masters Cross County Championships

This event is for masters’ athletes (anyone over the age of 35) who wish to compete in the British Masters Cross Country Championships at Somerhill School, Tudeley Road, Tonbridge, TN11 0NJ.

There will be two events, one for women and Over-65 men over 6km, and one for men 35 to 64 over 8km, of scenic undulating country house parkland. Easy access from the A26 Tonbridge By-pass.

Events: 
Race 1 
12-00 6km All Women and Men 65+
Race 2 13-00 8km M35 to M60

Medals will be awarded to the first three finishers in each five-year age category from 35 to 100+. Entries from UKA clubs are welcome; team composition by UKA Club: 1st claim members; first 3 women’s/men’s teams 35-44, 45-54, etc, if at least 2 teams finish. Declaration not necessary; down-ageing allowed.

The teams consisting of three runners will be automatically allocated, unless you want to down-age a team member only to make up for a shortage in the younger age group. You can pre-declare teams in advance to compsec@bmaf.org.uk or on the day up to 30 minutes before the start of the race.  Each club is allowed multiple teams in each age group. When down-aging, Each runner still competes as an individual in their own age group unless they in the M65 age category or older and they are part of a younger team in the 8 km race.
